Klondike school board members voted Thursday evening to extend Principal Danielle Therwhanger’s contract as principal for one additional year and to increase her salary to $74,000 annually. The action, on a 5-0 vote by the board, extends Therwhanger’s contract through June 30, 2022. Board President Kenny Ferguson, who is Therwhanger’s father, abstained from voting. Board member Quinton Kearney was not present. That was one of only a few items of action taken by the board during their regular monthly meeting.
