If the end of summer isn’t bad enough for Lamesa’s public school students, it’s compounded by the dread of having to roll up their sleeves for those necessary vaccinations. But when the school year begins Aug. 16, they are required to have those inoculations. Just to get registered into classes comes with a shot record.Luckily, vaccinations are done in increments - meaning they are not administered all at one time.Parents will now be racing to get their kids vaccinated in time for school.“We’ve had several coming in getting their vaccination,” said Misti Walton, assistant clinic director at the Medical Arts Clinic.
