Animals were arriving at the LeeRoy Colgan Fair Barn on Wednesday in preparation for the annual Dawson County Junior Livestock Show.
Judging of the various divisions is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, with the annual premium sale and awards presentation wrapping up the show on Saturday.
A total of 300 animals have been registered for this year’s event, according to Kanyon Brown, president of the Dawson County Livestock Association.
That total is up slightly from the 290 entries registered prior to the start of last year’s show.
This year’s entries, Brown said, include 209 pigs, 44 lambs, 27 goats and 20 steers.
