HITTING THE SLOPE
Numerous local residents took advantage of the snowfall on Sunday to slide down the slope overlooking Sulphur Springs Draw near the Lamesa rodeo grounds. Others built snowmen and found other means of creating their own winter fun. Reports indicated anywhere from 5 to 9 inches of snowfall in Lamesa and the immediate surrounding area. Lamesa ISD delayed the start of classes until 10 a.m. Monday, while surrounding area schools either cancelled classes on Monday or went entirely to remote learning.
