Madison Salazar is at every varsity football and basketball game.
She highly visible, but unless you know who’s behind the mask, you would never know she’s even there.
Madison, 16, has been performing with the varsity cheerleaders as Lamesa High School’s mascot, the Golden Tornado, since sports began this school year.
“Madison comes to all the practices. She travels to all the games with us,” said LHS Cheer Coach Jana Napper. “She learns the cheers like all the others so she can do all the hand motions and the words while the cheerleaders are doing it.”
