In-person visitation of inmates at the Dawson County Jail will resume this week after a one-year suspension due to COVID-19, according to Sheriff Matt Hogg. He said jails in Texas recently were cleared to resume visitation. State officials had barred the practice a year ago as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus.
