The recent storm impacted Medical Arts Hospital’s (MAH) communications, but it didn’t result in any reported injuries or fatalities.
The hospital’s phone lines and internet services went off-line when the storm’s high winds and heavy rainfall downed lines and resulted in some local residents being without power.
“We’re all communicating through the cell phones,” said Diane Sherrill, director of nursing, Tuesday afternoon. “We’re making progress on internet and a lot of things. It’s been crazy since Saturday.”
The hospital’s phone lines returned to normal Tuesday.
