With COVID-related expenses increasing, directors of the Dawson County Hospital District on Thursday approved the purchase of additional equipment using federal relief funds.
“We are beginning to see an increase in COVID protection costs,” said Letha Stokes, the hospital district’s chief executive offcer.
Those additional costs range from the purchase of COVID-related medical supplies to the expense of lab tests related to the virus.
But Stokes said the hospital remains well-supplied with what it needs to respond to and handle COVIDrelated issues.
