Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) board members held off Wednesday on setting the preliminary tax rate for the 2021-2022 fiscal year until a form from the property tax division of the state comptroller’s office in Austin is finalized.
Forms needed for the local appraisal district’s calculation on Medical Arts Hospital’s (MAH) debt service, reportedly were not available due to changes in the worksheets to compile those figures.
“I think we need to have all the information we need,” said MAH Chief Executive Officer Letha Stokes.
