ANDREWS – Though no cases of the new virus from China have been reported in Texas, Permian Regional Medical Center (PRMC)—like most every other healthcare facility in United States—remains on the look-out for it among patients entering the local hospital and clinics.
PRMC CEO Donny Booth said PRMC has implemented patient screening, which is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.
Patients who visit the hospital and clinics are asked a series of questions, the PRMC CEO noted.
They include if patients have been to China—especially to Wuhan—or have been in contact with someone who has, along with what symptoms they’re experiencing.
