Board members have approved a budget for fiscal year 2019-2020 that projects spending will match revenue for the Dawson County Hospital District. “We’re not going to have anything left over,” Chief Executive Officer Letha Stokes said during the hospital board meeting this past Thursday evening. “It’s going to cost us just as much money to operate as we collect.” That is a change from the budget proposal presented during a public hearing two weeks earlier in which the district was projecting a positive cash balance of about $110,000.
