Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) board members agreed to pursue negotiations with an Irving company to oversee the construction of a new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) building near Medical Arts Hospital.
The board spent an hour Thursday in a closed executive session before voting to allow Craig Carter, the board’s legal counsel, to negotiate with Christman Company. The company is the only business to respond to the district’s search for a company to oversee construction of a new EMS headquarters on a 12-acre site on hospital grounds.
“We have to negotiate a contract with them,” Carter said. “That’s not the final step.”
