The Dawson County Hospital District’s board of directors on Thursday approved a proposed tax rate and set a date for a public hearing to provide county residents an opportunity to share their feelings about it.
Board members went with a proposed rate just under the voter approval (rollback) rate at .405028 per $100 of property value. The rate is nearly eight percent (7.999 percent) over the no new revenue (effective) rate, according to board president Kim Bairrington.
