Planners for Lamesa High School’s homecoming events have made some slight changes to the celebrations in the wake of coronavirus.
The annual homecoming dance is out. There is still a parade, but it comes with some changes. The lighting of the school letters is still on the agenda.
“I wish we could go full tilt as we did from years back, but we have to responsible,” said LHS Principal Jerry Jerabek. “It’s homecoming. It’s a really big thing.”
The Lamesa Golden Tornadoes face the River Road Wildcats in a football home game beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.
