ANDREWS – Considering his longtime involvement in rural medicine and his steadfast support of the Republican Party, it’s probably not much of a surprise that Dr. Satish Nayak of Andrews was targeted for an appointment to the Texas Medical Board. But Dr. Nayak said he wasn’t expecting the call from Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s offi ce last week to see if he was interested in being a member.
