More than four years after 45-year-old Bernard Canady was shot and killed here, Lamesan Di-mas Gonzales has been found guilty of causing his death. Jurors in 106th District Court deliberated for a total of about an hour and a half this past Tuesday evening before finding Gonzales, age 46, guilty of murder. On Wednesday, that same jury assessed Gonzales’ punishment at 45 years in the Texas prison system.
