The Lamesa High School Golden Tornado Band (GTB) marched away with several University Interscholastic League (UIL) accolades.They won the honors during the UIL Region Marching Contest in Lubbock at Lowery Field Saturday.Judges gave the band ratings of 2, 2 and 1. A 1 is a superior rating while 2 is considered excellent.“We are super proud of our GTB,” said LHS Band Director Sonia Carrion. “We made progress this year and we will continue to improve each year.“We are graduating 30 seniors and we will miss them dearly.
