SEMINOLE – Last week, the Southwest Water Company announced some $25 million in replacements, repairs and upgrades to its infrastructure that serves 17 counties across Texas.
The expenditures, since Jan. 1,, represent a sizable investment in water infrastructure in those areas, including Gaines County.
In a press release, the company cited the American Society of Civil Engineers 2017 Texas Infrastructure Report Card, stating that “Texas infrastructure lacks funding, proper maintenance, and is poorly equipped to deal with environmental change as Texas continues to grow.”
