SEMINOLE – The U.S. Census numbers for 2020 have been released. According to the latest figures, Gaines County has increased its population by 23.23 percent. In 2010, the people of Gaines County totaled 17,526 residents. The 2020 numbers reached 21,598. Totals for 2020 show that Seminole has also experienced an upward swing, rising from 6,430 residents in 2010 to 6,988 in 2020, an increase of 558.
