The Dawson County United Fund’s annual fall financial campaign has now reached 50 percent of its $60,000 goal.
Contributions as of Friday stood at 30,652, according to Dale Hansard, this year’s United Fund campaign chairman.
“That’s some pretty good news,” Hansard said.
“We jumped almost $8,000 this past week.”
The United Fund is seeking to collect enough money this year to provide $29,000 to the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club, $25,000 to the Dawson County Senior Citizens Center, and $2,000 to the Dawson County Teen Court. The remaining $5,000 of the $60,000 goal is allocated to covering the expenses of the fund drive.
