SNYDER – The Scurry County Sheriff’s Department recently added a new member to its staff, Deputy Jermaine Davis. Davis is originally from Littlefield and began his law enforcement career working at the Haskell County Jail. After completing the police academy, he worked for the Lamesa Police Department as the school resource officer until 2018. “Most of my family is in law enforcement,” Davis said. “When I started working at the jail, it just kind of made sense for me to go to the academy.” Davis made the move to Snyder a few weeks ago, and his first day at the Scurry County Sheriff’s ...
