Highway 87 was closed heading north out of Lamesa Thursday due to flash flooding on the major north/ south roadway near Tahoka and O’Donnell.As of press time on Friday, traffic was still being rerouted out of Lamesa to Texas 137 through Brownfi eld for travelers heading north according to Dianah Ascencio, a public information officer with TxDOT.Ascenico said traffic was also rerouted to Hwy 62 and 82 out of Lubbock for those traveling to Seagraves and Seminole.Ascenico said, TxDOT officials started working with local sheriff departments in the area on a plan to move travelers around flooded roads around noon ...
