SCENES AT SOUTH ELEMENTARY Monday marked the fi rst day of classes for about 1,000 students in the Lamesa school system. It was particularly busy at South Elementary that morning, as parents walked their children to their classrooms. For a number of the children it was their very fi rst venture into a classroom.
