An overloaded electrical power strip is being blamed as the cause of a Thursday morning fire which forced a local man out of his home and destroyed all of his belongings.Hector DeLaFuente, the owner of the house and the only person living there, suffered burns to one of his hands in an initial effort to control the blaze, Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck said.“He was okay,” Duyck said, noting DeLaFuente declined medical treatment for the burn.Duyck said Friday that DeLaFuente has found another place to live and Red Cross has provided him with some financial assistance.The house was not insured,
