With the threat of wildfires increasing daily due to continued dry weather over most of the county, Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck is asking everyone to be cautious with any fires. Presenting his regular report to the Dawson County Commissioners Court this past Monday, Duyck said Dawson County’s rating on the Keetch-Byram Drought Index is rapidly increasing.
