Filing officially begins Saturday for candidates seeking a place on the primary ballots next spring for any of the seven county government positions that will be up for election. The filing period for both the Republican and Democratic primary positions will run through 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. County-wide positions which will be open for election in 2020 for four-year terms beginning in 2021, and the current office-holders in those positions, are: Sheriff, currently currently held by Matt Hogg; County Attorney, currently held by Steven B.
