Klondike High School narrowly missed coming home with a state title from the FFA Leadership Development Events state competition in Huntsville this past weekend.
Klondike’s Senior Chapter Conducting team captured the runnerup banner among 24 teams in that event which had advanced to the state contest through district and area rounds.
Also bringing home a state banner was Klondike FFA member Kylar Pepper, who placed ninth in Job Interview competition.
They were the only two of six state qualifiers from Lamesa and Klondike who reached the final round of competition on Saturday after competing in the state semifinals on Friday.
