Led by a perfect score from senior Sagen Oaks, a team of four Lamesa High School FFA members recently placed third in the state in the Career Development Events cotton judging competition.Oaks led a strong showing by cotton contestants from this area, as three of the top four individuals at the state contest hail from Lamesa, Klondike and Borden County schools.Joining Oaks on the third-place team were junior Anastasia Contreras and freshmen Emily Jimenez and Jordyn Roschetzky.All four Lamesa team members finished among the top 100 individuals among 553 contestants at the state event.
