Every second Tuesday of each month, lines of vehicles surround the First Baptist Church at 801 S. 1st Street.They were out this past Tuesday to collect the free groceries distributed through the local Feed One Food Bank.Volunteers spend the Monday before distribution day packing hundreds of paper grocery bags full of cereal boxes, canned food items, bread and baked goods; and fresh fruits and vegetables.They load up the prepackaged deliveries while other volunteers break into containers of cold items, meats, cheese and butter, in the church parking lot.“People see the need for this,” said Trena Cave, who along with Pam ...
