Five students in the culinary program at Lamesa High School are advancing to state after placing high in Family, Career and Community Leaders of American regional competition this past weekend. Lamesa students swept the top three places in the Serving Up Success Level 2 contest and captured two of the top three spots in Level 3, according to LHS culinary instructor Kevin Pedroza. Level 2 is for freshmen and sophomore students, and Level 3 is for juniors and seniors.
