Dawson County is losing its county extension agent at the end of the month, and there’s no telling when the position will be filled.County commissioners accepted Extension Agent Gary Roschetzky’s resignation letter, along with approving an understanding with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office in Lubbock over the county’s interest in continuing to fund the position during their regular Tuesday meeting.Roschetzky is expected to turn over his county-issued vehicle and office keys May 23-24. His last day on the job is May 31.He has been the extension agent for Dawson County for 12 years.“He’s done a tremendous job through the years,”
