It’s been a relatively quiet week at the Medical Arts Hospital’s Emergency Room.
Medical facilities usually see an increase in visits when there are below-freezing temperatures, icy roadways and non-functioning heaters.
That’s not to say Lamesa hasn’t seen injuries sustained in falls, a few car accidents and the occasional burn caused by a space heater being too close. But overall, Dr. Anthony Gipson, director of the ER, said no major trauma was inflicted due to slippery roads or sidewalks.
