After extensive discussion, no action was taken by Lamesa Economic Development officials on Monday evening on a request to support a proposed extension of Interstate 27 from Lubbock to Laredo.
Board members of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP) passed on making a decision regarding the request from the Ports to Plains Alliance.
“There are some gives and takes with this – pros and cons,” said LEDC/ LEAP Executive Director Sean Overeynder.
