Almost 30 percent of the registered voters in Dawson County have already cast their ballots early for the Nov. 3 general election. As of Wednesday morning, election offcials said 2,076 Dawson County residents had cast their ballots. That total does not include absentee voters who voted by mail. The county contains 7,102 registered voters. Early voting in the general election and school district elections ends Friday. The county clerk’s elections offce on the second floor of the county courthouse is the only polling place for early voting period in the general election. The polls at the courthouse are open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
