Food donations and volunteers still are needed as the date for Lamesa’s community Thanksgiving meal approaches. That event will be hosted this Thursday, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Lamesa High School cafeteria. The meal will be free to anyone who wishes to enjoy a meal with others, said Alice Ortegon, event organizer. All the food and supplies necessary for the event are donated by members of the community.
