Stealing and/or damaging political signs is a crime and those responsible could face prosecution, according to Lamesa Police Chief Josh Peterson.
Police have received several reports of incidents regarding missing or damaged political signs – involving both local and national races – in the past few weeks.
While some people may consider it a prank to damage or steal political signs, it actually is much like damaging or stealing any other property.
