Two teams of students from the Dawson school district at Welch are advancing to state competition in the Academic Challenge contest sponsored by the Texas Association of Community Schools (TACS).The Dawson team of Leslie Armendariz, Melanie Garza and Cameryn Montoya is advancing after placing first in an Academic Challenge contest hosted by the Dawson school last Friday.
