After writing off $20,000-$30,000 in bad debt every year, the City of Lamesa hopes to be able to cut down that amount with a new law firm hired to collect delinquent accounts receivable. City Council members approved two separate three-year contracts with MVBA (McCreary, Veselka, Bragg and Allen, LLC) for the collection of those delinquent accounts for the city and the collection of Municipal Court fines and fees.
