Dawson County residents, business owners and others impacted by the severe storm here on June 26 now have some extra time to report their damages to the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).
The initial deadline was this past Monday – 30 days after the storm – but that deadline has now been extended by TDEM officials, according to Terri Stahl, Dawson County treasurer.
“They are going to extend our deadline to next Friday, August 6, at 5 o’clock,” Stahl said Wednesday morning. “Anything after that time will not be accepted.”
