SNYDER – The Development Corporation of Snyder (DCOS) board of directors has discussed several times the need for affordable housing. On Thursday, the board approved spending $8,500 to conduct a market value study for a proposed Texas Housing Foundation project on Hwy. 350. Developer Bill Smyrl and foundation director Mark Mayfield requested the funding, which would be used in a pre-application process through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
