Discussion of various items dominated Monday evening’s regular monthly meeting of the Dawson school board in Welch. One of the few items of action was a vote to set the salary for Superintendent Layne Sheets at $102,000 per year. That action comes after the board voted last month to extend Sheet’s contract.
