The Dawson school system has received positive results both on its annual financial audit and on a state audit of its cafeteria operations, according to Superintendent Layne Sheets.
Results of the financial audit were presented to school board during their regular meeting this past Monday by Kevin Telchik with the Lamesa accounting firm of Stephens, Stephens and Telchik.
Sheets told the Press-Reporter that the audit showed the district’s finances are being handled properly and are in good shape.
“To me, it speaks well about the position the district is in for the future,” Sheets said of the financial audit.
