Unless you’re a medical doctor, nurse or a paramedic, you will never know what it’s like to work on the frontline of a pandemic.
Directors of the Dawson County Hospital District learned a little about the experience from four Medical Arts Hospital (MAH) staff members during the board’s monthly meeting Thursday.
“They work long hours. They sacrifice their families knowing they may be susceptible to the virus,” said MAH Chief Executive Officer Letha Stokes. “We are absolutely in the middle of it 24/7.”
