Reversing the gradual downward trend seen in COVID-19 cases here over the past couple of months, the virus is making a comeback in Dawson County.The number of active COVID cases here now is more than double what it was just before Thanksgiving.Friday’s update issued by the South Plains Public Health District shows 26 residents of Dawson County currently have active cases of the virus.That is down by one from the previous report this past Tuesday evening but compares to only 11 cases three weeks ago.Friday’s total includes 23 new cases reported during the past week.Under the new reporting guidelines issued ...
