There’s no question about it, COVID-19 is making a resurgence here both in Lamesa and across the area.
With 10 new cases in just the past two days, the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD) on Friday evening reported 20 active COVID cases among Dawson County residents.
That is up from seven active cases the previous Friday and four on the Friday before that.
Dawson County had gone a number of weeks without any more than two active cases at a time before the numbers started climbing again in early July.
