Dawson County lives are continuing to be lost to the COVID-19 pandemic on a regular basis, according to information from the state’s top health agency.
The local death toll from the virus now stands at 36, based on information posted Friday morning on the website of the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS).
That is an increase of four in just the past week.
Less than a month ago, the state website was showing only 13 Dawson County residents had died from COVID-19.
