The number of new COVID-19 cases being reported here continues to drop sharply, according to the latest information from the South Plains Public Health District.Only 23 new cases in Dawson County were reported in the update issued Tuesday evening by SPPHD Executive Director Zach Holbrooks.That is down from 97 new cases reported here on Tuesday of last week and a whopping 134 the previous Tuesday.The total of 94 new cases during the past week compares to 240 during a oneweek period in mid-January.But while the case numbers are going down, deaths blamed on the virus continue to climb.The health district’s ...
