While the daily number of newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases here is declining, the death toll from the virus continues to rise. The Texas Department of State Health Services website is now reporting that 46 Dawson County residents have now died during the COVID-19 pandemic. That represents two more deaths than the state was reporting last Friday.
