SNYDER – COVID-19 numbers are on the rise in Scurry County. Cogdell Memorial Hospital continues to experience a high number of positive cases.During the third week of August, Cogdell performed 496 tests with 91 positive cases. During the last week of August, Cogdell performed 701 tests with 147 of those tested being positive for the COVID-19 virus. Ninety-four percent of the positive cases were unvaccinated and six percent were fully vaccinated.Cogdell officials said 70 percent of patients admitted were COVID-19 positive.
