Like most of the entire region, Dawson County’s COVID-19 case count is continuing to climb at a steady pace.
The death toll here from the virus, however, has remained unchanged the past few weeks, according to information from the South Plains Public Health District.
The district’s website is showing the deaths of eight residents of Dawson County have been attributed to COVID-19 since the first case here was reported in late March.
However, the Texas Department of State Health Services website is continuing to show Dawson County with 19 deaths attributed to the virus.
